Auditions for GUINEVERE & ARTHUR

Young Footliters Youth Theatre is proud to announce auditions for our fall show:

An original play by Matthew Falduto

This new take on the Arthurian legend finds Princess Guinevere struggling to figure out her place in the world after her father, King Leo, passes away. Arthur, a squire training to be a knight, is finding knighthood is not what he thought it would be. Together these two teenagers discover a magic sword which sends them on an adventure that will open their eyes and allow them to fulfill their destinies.

Audition Information:
A short memorized monologue or poem is recommended, but not required, particularly if the young person auditioning feels confident in their ability to do a cold reading. It is likely everyone will do cold readings in addition to any memorized monologues.

Students entering fourth grade and above are eligible to audition. The main characters are teens, so we’re definitely looking for strong actors age 13-17.

Auditions will be:
Friday, July 15 3:20-6:00 Coralville Library Lower Level
Saturday, July 16 9:00-4:00 Coralville Library Lower Level

Begin August 1 and are held Sunday afternoons and Monday-Thursday evenings.

If cast, Young Footliters Youth Theatre does have an annual per family membership fee and a participation fee for this production. For information about membership and fees click here. Scholarships are available!
