Auditions for “Fairy Tale Christmas Carol”

Young Footliters is pleased to announce auditions for our next production:

A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol

Directed by Sharon Falduto

Written by Flip Kobler & Cindy Marcus

“Fairy Tale Christmas Carol” is a Dickens’ classic told with some of your favorite fairy tale characters. This one act play is a fun romp through the true spirit of Christmas.

Performances:

Friday, December 2 – 7:00

Saturday, December 3 – 2:00 and 7:00

Performances are held at the theatre in the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum in the town of West Branch.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals begin October 3 and will typically be held Monday-Thursday evenings in Coralville. There will not be rehearsal on Halloween or the week of Thanksgiving.

Tech Week (Nov 27-Dec 1) Rehearsals will be held at the Hoover Library in West Branch. Participation in Tech Week and all performances is mandatory to participate in the show.

Auditions:

Auditions will be held in the lower level of the Coralville Public Library:

Friday, September 23 from 4:00 to 6:00

Saturday, September 24 from 9:30 to 3:00

Please fill out the attached audition form and bring it with you. Attached also is a list of the roles available.

For auditions you may prepare a short monologue or poem. You will also be asked to do a cold reading. A cold reading means you will simply read from the script that the director will provide for you. Children in grades 1-12 are eligible to audition.
