Notes on Current Audition Opportunities

Young Footliters is pleased to offer TWO great performance opportunities for the youth of our community this fall/winter!
A Charlie Brown Christmas (a musical)
Directed by Krista Neumann
will be performed at the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts November 17, 18 and 19 with auditions Sept 12 & 13.  This is for grades 4-12.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (a play)
Directed by Sharon Falduto
will be performed at the Hoover Presidential Library as part of their annual Christmas Celebration December 1 & 2 with auditions August 26 and 27.  This is for grades K-8.
You will note 2 things about these shows:
1.  Even though the performance of Best Christmas Pageant is AFTER Charlie Brown, auditions are actually held BEFORE.
2.  There is a small overlap of ages (grades 4-6) that may audition for either show.
Actors in Grades 4-8:
Actors in grades 4-8 are eligible to audition for either “Pageant” or “Charlie Brown”.  Interested young actors in that age range should look at the performance and rehearsal schedule and decide what is best for them and their families.
Another determining factor might be that “Charlie Brown” is a musical with a relatively older cast, while “Pageant” is a play with a younger one.  Both are great shows with great roles!
If an grade 4-6 actor auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and does not receive a role, they are welcome and encouraged to audition for Charlie Brown.  However, we would expect that those cast in Pageant to respect their commitment to that show.
We are so excited for these two shows!  We hope to see a lot of you at auditions.
Please find the sign-up for each below.
If you have any questions about the audition process or any of these shows please feel free to contact me at or Producer Liz Tracey at
